Chris King, M.S., Medical Technologist, Department of Laboratory ...Because my cousin was bewildered regarding what take up in college, I told him that he should considered taking up medical technology and be a medical technologist because I remember him to love handling his stool when he was still a very young boy. My cousin agreed and told me that he still loves handling his stool and that he is really curious about it. My cousin realized that because of his odd interest in stools, he should study medical technology in college so that he can work as a medical technologist for hospitals.

My cousin told me that once he becomes a medical technologist for hospitals, he will be able to examine different bodily fluids, something that he really loves to do. My cousin told me that he is very excited about working as a medical technologist and that he will do everything to make his dreams come true. I told him that his attitude about it is spot on.

Have you ever hired someone who turned out to be much different than what you expected? Perhaps you expected the person to work independently, but he needed a lot of supervision. You may have hired someone for a position that interacts with customers, but the person turns out to have limited patience or rapport with customers. Despite manager’s best effort, hiring mishaps like this often happen. They occur because the manager is forced to make a decision quickly based on limited information. The manager can review an application, check references and conduct interviews. These tools, alone, are not always enough.

Many managers find that they make better decisions when they have more comprehensive information. This is tough to do when time is tight. However, psychometric testing can provide a lot of information about job candidates in a short amount of time. The tests can reveal detailed information about a candidate’s personality and work habits. This information can help a manager make an informed decision.

Nursing programs in California are very common in public institutions. This is why many people who are looking forward to pursue a nursing profession always go for public nursing institutions. Nursing programs could be normal or accelerated programs. With the normal programs, the lessons are usually run in a normal way, just like many other programs. Here, classes are done during the normal day time, and students usually have to be in class for lessons until in the evening while classes end. For the accelerated programs, it is usually based on full time commitment and this is because they usually compress the normal time so that only half of the time is taken. For instance, if you are supposed to go for a 4 year course, you only go for 2 years. The accelerated program is something that you can do at your own free time and you are also offered some clinical classes to get equipped for the national licensing exam.

I have been using applicant tracking software for the last 4 years, and I struggle to remember how I carried out my tasks without it. Excel spread sheets, Word documents, an inbox full of applications seem like nothing but a distant memory. What applicant tracking software has done is automate the time consuming tasks, scanning CVs, highlighting the strongest, acknowledging the non-qualifiers with an email to let them down gently, ranking the candidates, notifying them of interviews, notifying managers of updates etc.

The fact of the matter is that my work now only starts at the strongest candidates, whereas before, the bulk of my time was spent getting to this point. How companies work efficiently without applicant tracking software nowadays is a mystery to me. We have used different vendors, and each have differing qualities, but essentially perform the laborious activities. The “heavy digging” is performed by software, allowing us to get on with the most important tasks, hiring the right people.

Cases of acid rains which are destroying crops all over the world are being reported more frequently which can only be attributed to the high rates of pollution through the emission of harmful greenhouse gases. Also, a number of countries especially in the African continent are suffering from long periods of drought which has caused the loss of thousands of lives. I need to look for Health Care Jobs in the UK because I’m planning on moving to the UK soon with my whole family. I don’t think that I am going to have a hard time finding a job in the health field in the UK since there are many jobs available in this field. I remember when I was in school, I was not sure what to major in, but my parents encouraged me to major in the health field. I guess, this is the best career advice they could have given me. Since leaving school, I have to admit that I haven’t had much problem finding a job and that is thanks to my parents. Sometimes my parents give me advice on some things that I can think that I should not use, but this one was a good one. I am really glad that I listened to them.

Losing your job can be really tough. Whether you are fired, laid off, or just simply let go, losing employment has a nasty tendency of causing a load of other problems to show up. You need a new career and you need it quickly. Unfortunately, the state of the economy at present time is not exactly conducive to actually being hired. A career can be extremely hard to find. I was a Key Account Manager for a few years. It was my first job, and the only job that I really had any kind of experience in. I fancied myself somewhat of a professional, but without actual schooling no place seemed to want me. Finally I looked online for Key Account Manager Jobs in my area. As it turned out, there were several employers that were not posting advertisements in our local paper. I actually scored several interviews and landed two job proposals. I’ve been rolling in the money ever since!

Even after running a series of background check on a person who comes in for a job interview, a placement consultant will always ask him for his resume. It helps him understand the candidate. You as a candidate must make an effort to understand your recruiter too. After all they are the one who would be deciding if you are worth joining a company or not. Make sure you always ask the right question to the recruiter. You resume will very well reflect what you’ve done over the years and what you have achieved during the tenure, but it will not tell the recruiter as to what you want to achieve in the future. Make absolutely sure that you have mentioned the same in your covering letter. It is also good to tell the recruiter as to what you want to do ahead in life and sometimes be a little blunt about money.

Humphrey was a young medical student who did not have enough money to pay for medical school. He had received a scholarship from the Emerson Medicine and Science University in Colorado, but that wasn’t enough to cover his housing and food bills. Apart from taking out as many loans as he could, Humphrey got a job as an x ray technician at a clinic right outside the university. Humphrey knew that an x ray technician salary wasn’t much, but it helped in a lot of ways. Firstly, he was able to live more comfortably. Secondly, the experience he gained from working in the medical industry was priceless. He met a lot of doctors and made connections. He also learned all about the medical industry basics such as scanning, recording, assisting and so forth. He was deeply glad that he got this experience because it made a big impact on him professionally and financially.
